If you are soon to be presented with the difficult responsibility of finding homemaker services for a family member then the first steps can be a daunting task. Those companies in the New Brunswick Home Support Association, which provide homemaker services, offer around-the-clock care, meal prep, cleaning, personal care, etc., as do we.

If one thing sets Kindred Home Care apart, and we think there is, it is its commitment to the belief that "one good match" for the client is in everyone's best interest. Usually the elderly feel stress about having several strangers in their home. One good match means that each client can expect to have the same homemaker every visit. Our employees appreciate this one good match because it means they have fewer clients, travel less between clients, and work with clients they know well.

Kindred Home Care is one of nearly 50 homemaker providers in New Brunswick. It began 22 years ago in St. Stephen and has expanded to five other locations including Fredericton, which opened in December. Kindred Home Care is one of the larger homemaker providers in the province with over a hundred employees in 2007.

The province of New Brunswick hires Kindred Home Care to work with some of its clients. Over the course of more than two decades, government standards for clients' care have improved the in-home situation for the elderly. We apply the same careful standards of this province to our private clients as well, including such things as confidentiality, non-criminality, employee training, and employee suitability.

Call us at Kindred Home Care and chat with a supervisor of homemakers in your area. We will encourage you in the task ahead. It is a great way to take those first steps..
